Altercation Between Army Officer and Airline Staff at Srinagar Airport: New Video Emerges
A shocking incident has come to light from Srinagar Airport, where a video has surfaced showing a physical altercation between an army officer and airline staff members. The video, which has gone viral, reportedly reveals that the first attack was initiated by SpiceJet staff, contrary to earlier claims that the army officer was the aggressor.

In the video, tensions between the two parties can be seen escalating. Suddenly, a member of the airline staff lunges at the army officer. The situation quickly devolves into a heated scuffle, with both sides exchanging blows, including kicks and punches. Dressed in red, the army officer can be seen repeatedly attacking several individuals. The full video spans six minutes and thirty-two seconds.
The footage shows an argument breaking out between the staff and the officer, followed by the officer striking one staff member and then raining punches on another. Security personnel intervened and briefly managed to calm the situation, but moments later, the conflict resumed. At one point, two staff members are seen joining forces to assault the officer, who then retaliates with an object resembling a poster.
Previously, official reports stated that the altercation began over payment for excess luggage before the flight. The airline had claimed that the officer assaulted staff without provocation. However, the new footage seems to challenge this narrative, raising questions about who instigated the fight.
Mudasir Ahmad, one of the airline staff members injured in the incident, recounted his version of events. He stated he was on routine duty at the boarding gate for the Srinagar to Delhi flight, checking passengers’ hand baggage. When he stopped the army officer to check his bags—one trolley and one hand bag, both apparently exceeding the permissible weight—an argument ensued. The officer allegedly became agitated and started shouting, questioning the rules and the authority of security staff to check his luggage. Ahmad clarified that the official allowance is one piece of hand baggage weighing up to 7kg, but the officer’s luggage was around 16kg and in two pieces.
The incident highlights the need for an impartial and thorough investigation to determine exactly what transpired. The latest footage has intensified the controversy and public debate surrounding the altercation.
As the investigation continues, viewers are encouraged to share their views in the comments.
