Love Affair Turns Deadly
The accused, Reena, despite being married and raising nine children—five daughters and four sons—fell into a passionate affair with Hanif, a young man from the same village. According to locals, Reena had repeatedly left her home to be with Hanif over the past year and a half. Her husband, Ratiram, tried to oppose the relationship, but the forbidden affair continued.
A Sinister Plot Unfolds
When repeated warnings and confrontations failed to end the affair, Reena and Hanif allegedly conspired to eliminate Ratiram. On June 18th, Ratiram went missing. For four days, his family searched desperately for him. On the fourth day, their worst fears came true when Ratiram’s body was discovered in the water tank of a village tube well. The gruesome discovery sent shockwaves through the village, with family members and neighbors reeling from the tragedy.
Police Investigation and Family’s Demand for Justice
Upon receiving the report, police from Patiali station arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination. Based on the family’s complaint, a formal case was registered against Reena and Hanif, along with possible accomplices. Police suspect that at least four to five people may have been involved, given the nature of the crime.
Ratiram’s family is devastated and has demanded the harshest punishment for the accused, including the death penalty. They are struggling to come to terms with the fact that a mother of nine could be involved in such a heinous act.
A Village Grapples With Betrayal
The couple’s son revealed that he was aware of his mother’s relationship with Hanif, who often visited their home. However, he never imagined that his mother could go to the extent of killing his father. The crime has left the community grappling with questions about trust, betrayal, and the breaking of sacred family bonds.
As police continue their investigation, the case has become a grim reminder of how relationships can spiral into violence and tragedy. The village now waits for justice, hoping for closure to a tale that has left an indelible scar on their hearts.
