Massive Protest in Patna Against Land Amendment Bill: Leaders Assert India Belongs to All

Patna, Bihar – In a powerful address at Gandhi Maidan, a prominent leader voiced strong opposition to the recently introduced Land Amendment Bill, declaring that India belongs to every citizen, not just to Prime Minister Narendra Modi or any single political entity.

Waving the national flag, the speaker emphasized the significance of the tricolor, stating, “The saffron in our flag represents fire, while the green and white stand for peace and brotherhood. This country is not Narendra Modi’s property; it belongs to every Indian.”

The leader called on people to defend their ancestral lands, religious shrines, and cemeteries, vowing to make any necessary sacrifices. “We will sit on the streets if we must. Thousands, even millions, are ready to join this fight,” he said, saluting the massive turnout of people from across Bihar, Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand, who braved the scorching sun to attend.

Referencing the new bill passed in Parliament, the speaker accused the government of favoring wealthy friends by seizing land donated by ancestors for public good. Despite fierce resistance from opposition MPs, the bill passed due to the government’s majority. “Now, the battle will be fought on the streets and in the Supreme Court. We trust the judiciary to deliver justice,” he added.

The speech included a historical anecdote about Alexander the Great, underlining the difference between true leadership and oppression. “For the past 11 years, this government has only kicked the people. They think we will silently accept every injustice, but your presence here proves otherwise,” the leader declared.

Highlighting the unity among all communities, he noted that more than 200 Hindu, Dalit, Sikh, and Christian MPs stood with Muslims in Parliament to oppose the bill, demonstrating the country’s shared heritage and secularism.

The leader urged the crowd to raise their voices to Delhi, vowing never to compromise on faith or principles, even at the cost of their lives. “We will not trade our faith for anything. If needed, we will make sacrifices to protect our lands and places of worship,” he affirmed.

He concluded by reminding the audience that democracy must be governed by the Constitution, not by arrogance or stubbornness. “This country will run by the book written by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, not by anyone’s whim. We understand your real intentions and stand united against this bill,” he said.

The gathering ended with resounding chants of “Inquilab Zindabad” (Long Live the Revolution), as the crowd pledged to continue their struggle for justice and constitutional rights.
