RJD Open to Alliances, Tejashwi Not Hungry for Power, Says Former Leader

Amid ongoing political discussions in Bihar, a former leader has stated that if the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) wishes to join an alliance, it is free to do so. “See, Tejashwi is not so greedy to become the Chief Minister. He is not driven by the desire for power, position, or personal gain. He is just doing his work,” he said during a statement to the media.

Commenting further on questions about support during tough times, the leader said, “Who stood by me or not isn’t important. What matters is that the people of Bihar are with me — the crowds at every rally prove that. Time will eventually reveal who did what and who really stood by whom.”

He also clarified, “I am not opposing anyone. Through your channel, I say again, if RJD wants to make an alliance, let them. The decision to form or not form an alliance is theirs alone. I am not in any formal organization or party right now.”

When asked whether he would extend an invitation to the BJP, he responded emphatically, “I will not invite BJP. Our fight is for our principles, and we will not compromise on our commitment to social justice.”

The conversation also touched on recent controversies involving Chetan Anand and incidents in hospitals. The leader refrained from commenting on internal disputes, saying, “Whatever happened between Chetan Anand and the doctors is their matter. However, any such behavior, especially in hospitals, is unacceptable.”

He responded with satire to criticism from Mangni Lal, who questioned his political existence, suggesting, “Those who focus on trivial matters should take up spiritual pursuits in places like Banaras or Vrindavan. Maybe they should visit our guru’s ashram instead of engaging in petty politics.”

Finally, the leader extended thanks to all present: “Today, all members from various alliances, media, the general public, and activists from Team Tej and other organizations are present here. Thank you all very much.”
