Rajeev Chaurasia’s journey is unique and inspiring. At 26 years old, Rajeev is not like most young men his age. In an interview, Rajeev revealed that he was born weighing only 1 kilogram and was given little chance of survival. His parents, however, did not give up and, despite extreme poverty, managed to save him. While Rajeev survived, he grew up physically weak, his body and voice never developing like other children’s. From a young age, he was the subject of ridicule and became the ‘class clown’ among his peers.

Determined to break his circumstances, Rajeev decided to chase his dream of acting and moved to Mumbai, the city of dreams. But the city proved harsher than he expected. He auditioned for projects with production houses, including big names like Ekta Kapoor and casting agencies like Mukesh Chhabra’s. In Mumbai, Rajeev had to rely on meals at the Gurudwara and sold chickpeas outside to survive. Realizing the fast-paced city might overwhelm him, he eventually returned to his village.

Since 2018, Rajeev has been making videos, but it was only about a month and a half ago that his content started going viral. Overnight, his fun videos were being shared by thousands and he quickly amassed over 200,000 followers on social media. For Rajeev, this wasn’t just internet fame—it was acceptance. People began appreciating and connecting with a boy like him, and, for the first time, he feels included.

Though his viral videos haven’t yet translated into financial success, Rajeev remains optimistic that one day, someone will notice his talent and offer him an opportunity. He is grateful that people now ask to take pictures with him and don’t mock him openly.
