Birthday Celebration Turns Tragic in Meerut: Father Beaten to Death Over Loud Music Dispute

In a shocking and tragic incident, a birthday celebration in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, ended in unimaginable sorrow when a dispute over loud music resulted in the brutal killing of a father.

The heart-wrenching event took place in the Railway Road area of Meerut, where Abdul, a resident who worked as a painter specializing in automobile spare parts, was hosting a party at his home to celebrate his daughter Rimsa’s 12th birthday. The small family gathering included Abdul’s wife, two sons, three daughters, and a few relatives and neighbors. The evening was filled with joy, music, and dance as the family came together to make Rimsa’s birthday memorable.

However, the festive atmosphere did not sit well with a neighbor, Ayub, who lived nearby. As the celebration continued into the evening with music playing, Ayub, accompanied by several family members, went over to Abdul’s house and asked them to turn off the music, complaining that it was too loud and disturbing.

What started as a seemingly small request quickly escalated into a heated argument between the two families. According to eyewitnesses and police statements, tempers flared and the verbal spat soon turned violent. In a fit of rage, Ayub allegedly started to throw the music system, damaging property in Abdul’s home. Matters took a more sinister turn when Ayub and his accomplices began physically assaulting Abdul.

Armed with sticks and chairs, the attackers brutally beat Abdul in front of his shocked family. He sustained serious head injuries and fell to the ground, bleeding profusely. Despite the desperate attempts of family members to intervene and stop the assault, Abdul was left unconscious. He was rushed to a nearby hospital by his relatives, but doctors could only declare him dead on arrival.

The situation spiraled further out of control as news of Abdul’s death reached his extended family. Grief and anger consumed them, and in an act of retaliation, some family members stormed Ayub’s house, allegedly beating up two people present there. The cycle of violence could have erupted further had the police not arrived swiftly to control the situation and prevent additional harm.

Meerut’s SP City, Ayush Vikram Singh, addressed the media regarding the case. He confirmed that two of the accused were taken into police custody immediately after the incident. However, the main accused, Ayub, managed to escape and is currently on the run. Police have formed several teams and are actively conducting raids to locate and arrest him. Singh highlighted that the incident was the result of a dispute between two neighboring families, and he assured the public that all those responsible for Abdul’s death would be arrested and face the law.

This devastating incident has shaken the local community, with residents expressing shock and sorrow over the turn of events. Many have questioned how a disagreement over something as routine as birthday music could result in such a violent and irreversible outcome. The tragic loss of Abdul on his young daughter’s birthday is a somber reminder of how quickly unchecked anger and neighborhood disputes can escalate out of control.

Police have appealed to the public to remain calm and not engage in further acts of revenge or violence. Authorities are also urging residents to find peaceful ways to resolve disputes and seek help from law enforcement when situations appear to be getting out of hand.

The investigation into the crime is ongoing, with police collecting evidence, interviewing witnesses, and searching for all those involved. Abdul’s family, now left to mourn their loss amid trauma and public attention, has appealed for justice.
