Justice for Ankit: Local Outcry After Man Ends Life Alleging Police Inaction
A resident named Ankit, who had gone to Haridwar with his friends to participate in the Kanwar Yatra, returned home prematurely after learning that his wife was allegedly planning to leave him. Before taking his own life, Ankit recorded an emotional video, tearfully accusing the police of not taking any action on his complaints. In the video, he alleged that his wife was involved in a relationship with another man.
Following Ankit’s death, local people have taken to the streets, demanding justice and launching a campaign under the banner “Justice for Ankit.” Residents are rallying for him, claiming that he was driven to this tragic step due to negligence on the part of the police and the actions of his wife.
