A shocking crime has unfolded in Haryana, where the rising model Sheetal, also known as Simmi Chaudhary, lost her life in a tragic sequence of events driven by love, deception, and jealousy.

Background and Disappearance

Sheetal was a popular face in the Haryanvi music industry, known for her music videos and social media presence. On June 14, Sheetal traveled from Delhi to Panipat, Haryana, for a music video shoot in the village of Ahar. After the shoot, she was expected to return home but never did. Her sister, worried about her absence, filed a missing person report with the police after failing to locate her through friends and colleagues.

The Investigation and Shocking Discovery

The police reviewed CCTV footage and found that Sheetal was last seen with a man, later identified by her family as Sunil, her boyfriend and a hotel owner where Sheetal had worked. The footage showed them heading toward a car together on the night of June 14.

As the search continued, on June 15, a car was found submerged in a canal near Panipat. A wounded man, later identified as Sunil, emerged from the canal and was taken to the hospital. At the time, the police did not connect him to Sheetal’s disappearance.

On June 16, a woman’s body was recovered from a canal in Sonepat, which passes through Panipat. The body was in an advanced state of decomposition, making identification difficult. However, tattoos on the body matched those of Sheetal, and her sister confirmed the identity.

The Truth Unfolds

Upon investigation, it was revealed that Sunil, despite being married with two children, was in a relationship with Sheetal for four years. Sheetal, unaware of his marital status, wanted to end the relationship after discovering the truth. Sunil, unable to accept her rejection, became obsessed and started threatening her.

On the night of June 14, after the shoot, Sunil offered to drop Sheetal home. During the drive, he again insisted on marriage, but Sheetal refused, stating she did not want to break his family. Enraged, Sunil attacked her with a knife inside the car, inflicting fatal wounds on her neck and hands as she tried to defend herself.

After realizing she was dead, Sunil drove around with her body for an hour, unsure of what to do. Eventually, he dumped her body in the canal, hoping it would appear as an accidental drowning. To further mislead the police, he drove his car into the canal and injured himself, pretending to be a victim of an accident.

Police Crack the Case

The post-mortem report revealed that Sheetal died from excessive bleeding due to the neck wound, not drowning. Under police questioning, Sunil confessed to the murder, admitting that rage over Sheetal’s refusal led him to commit the crime.
