Shocking Incident: Popular TV Actress Sumihar Chadri Found Disoriented on Bengal Streets

West Bengal, India — In a distressing turn of events, well-known TV and film actress Sumihar Chadri was discovered wandering the streets of West Bengal’s Purba Bardhaman district in a disoriented and unstable state on Monday. Locals found Chadri near Amila Bazar, dressed in dirty clothing, which included shorts and a black full-sleeve shirt. She was carrying only a pen and notepad and communicated in a mixture of English and Bengali.

At first, residents were unsure of the woman’s identity. However, when she identified herself as Sumihar Chadri, a popular actress, curiosity quickly gave way to concern. Local villagers verified her identity by searching for photos and videos online. Once confirmed, authorities were immediately alerted to the scene.

According to reports from The Indian Express, Chadri had sought refuge at a roadside rest stop in the Kandakosh area during a sudden rainstorm. She reportedly provided inconsistent information about her residence, at times claiming to be from Kolkata, and at other times mentioning Bolpur in Birbhum district.

Abhishek Mandal, DPO of Burdwan Sadar South, stated, “We have informed the Bihala police station in Kolkata and are making efforts to contact her family.” Chadri was subsequently taken to a nearby shelter home for her safety and well-being.

Sumihar Chadri has garnered a notable reputation in Bengali cinema and television, with acclaimed roles in films such as “Ditto Purush” and “Kashi Kata: A Goat Saga,” where she starred opposite Nasiruda. She has also appeared in several popular TV shows, including “Rup Shagur Manush” and “Tumi Ashapashi Taklay.”

As of yet, the cause of her disoriented state remains unknown. Police officials are continuing their efforts to locate Chadri’s family and are conducting assessments of her physical and mental health. Her relatives have not released any statements regarding the incident so far.

The news has left fans and well-wishers deeply concerned for the actress’s health and future, as investigations continue.
