A Mother’s Painful Journey for Justice: Raja’s Family Battles Betrayal and Heartbreak

Indore, News18 Bureau — As the legal fight for justice for Raja continues, his family endures ever-deepening heartbreak and setbacks. Raja’s mother has opened up about her emotional turmoil as accused parties in her son’s alleged murder are granted bail one after another, while a supposed family ally is now seen as a betrayer.

Vippin, a close friend of the family and once a staunch ally, is currently in Shillong to pursue the legal battle. Raja’s mother spoke candidly about her worries: “I am very anxious. The way the accused are getting bail after bail, my stress is only increasing. When I heard about yet another bail, my blood pressure shot up—I even had to visit the doctor.”

A feeling of betrayal struck hardest when Govind, who had vowed to be ‘like a son’ and help her fight for justice, allegedly shifted his allegiance to the accused—most notably Sonam. Rumors suggest that Govind even met Sonam in Shillong. “He said he’d always stand by Raja but now it feels like he’s trying to protect the accused. He broke my trust. It hurts the most when someone you treat as family turns their back,” the devastated mother shared.

Raja’s mother continues to live in the house built specially for her son, each corner filled with powerful memories. “Every brick of this house is for Raja. My other children avoid even entering the areas where Raja used to play, because his absence is so deeply felt,” she said, fighting back tears. Even daily routines, like cleaning Raja’s photo or preparing his favorite foods, are rituals she can’t let go of. She often places fresh food in front of his photograph, later feeding it to the cows, as she used to do for Raja.

While Govind’s perceived betrayal adds another layer of pain, the repeated granting of bail to the accused is described as “salt on the wound.” Raja’s siblings are distressed not only by the slow legal process, but also by the threats and fear that unknown dangers might befall them for pursuing the case.

Her husband, Raja’s father, now spends most of his days wandering outside, unable to bear the memories within their home. The emotional scars have left the family shattered, yet resolute.

Despite these mounting challenges, Raja’s mother remains steadfast: “No matter what, I will fight for justice for my son till my last breath. If I have to sell every brick of this house for his case, I will. I will go to Shillong if needed. My only prayer is for my son to get the justice he deserves.”

Recent investigations have also revealed new leads, with Sonam allegedly in contact with someone from Gujarat. As the case unfolds, more shocking twists continue to emerge, deepening the agony and questions for a mother who refuses to give up hope.

The last recorded conversation between Raja and his mother, filled with mother-son affection and optimism, now haunts the family—a bittersweet reminder of happier days before tragedy struck.

As the legal proceedings continue and the accused seek bail, one question lingers in the air: Why was Raja killed, and who will be held accountable?
