Faisal revealed that this decision comes after enduring a great deal of pain over the years. He alleged that his family labeled him as mentally unstable and wrongfully accused him of suffering from schizophrenia. Faisal also claimed he was pressured to take medication against his will. According to him, he has been subjected to mistreatment since 2005.

In his statement, Faisal said, “I, Faisal Khan, as of today, cut off all relationships with the members of my family listed below. From now on, I am not a part of the family of my late father Tahir Hussain, my mother Zeenat Tahir Hussain, or any other member of the family. I have no right to, nor responsibility for, any property belonging to the family.”

Faisal recounted that in 2007, he alleged his family tried to take away his legal rights by forcing him to sign over authority. When he refused and left home, his mother Zeenat Tahir Hussain and elder sister Nikhat Hegegde accused him of being paranoid schizophrenic and a danger to society. The matter ultimately went to court, and after five months of hearings, the February 2008 verdict was in Faisal’s favor.

In recent interviews, Faisal has leveled serious accusations against Aamir and the family. Responding to these, Aamir’s family issued a statement calling Faisal’s claims “unfortunate.” They clarified that all decisions concerning Faisal were made after consulting doctors. Aamir also requested the media handle the issue with sensitivity.

While disputes between brothers are not uncommon, Faisal is reportedly preparing to file a case against Aamir and the family. Sources state that he may submit a petition in court next month.
