Sara Ali Khan Faces Backlash for Alleged Rude Behavior During ‘Metro In Dino’ Promotions

Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan is once again under the spotlight, but this time not for her acting skills or film releases, but for her behavior during the promotional interviews of her latest movie, “Metro In Dino.” The film, which stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Konkona Sen Sharma alongside Sara, has been making headlines for reasons beyond its storyline.

During a series of interviews for the film’s promotion, viewers and even co-stars noticed Sara’s allegedly rude and arrogant demeanor. Reports claim that Sara repeatedly interrupted others, answered questions directed at her co-stars, and even made indirect taunts. This behavior not only irritated the audience but also seemed to make her co-stars visibly uncomfortable.

Critics have often accused Sara of pretending to be humble and relatable, with her PR team reportedly trying hard to craft a “middle-class” image for her. However, many believe her true personality often slips through, contradicting the image she portrays on camera. Several industry insiders who have worked with her have also called out her “fake” personality.

A particularly awkward moment occurred during an interview when Aditya Roy Kapur was asked about the most romantic thing he had ever done. After he shared a story about surprising someone on their birthday, Sara later called such gestures “toxic,” leaving both Aditya and the interviewer confused. When asked to explain, Sara had no clear answer, adding to the awkwardness.

In another instance, when Fatima Sana Shaikh commented on the difficulty of finding emotionally available partners these days, Sara responded with an immature remark about already having many girls in her family, which was seen as inappropriate and made Aditya visibly uncomfortable.

The pattern continued with Sara’s interactions with Fatima as well. When discussing family relationships, Sara called Fatima “jealous” without any apparent reason, leaving Fatima and others taken aback.

Questions have also arisen about how Sara landed her role in “Metro In Dino.” While most actors said they received a call from director Anurag Basu, Sara claimed she visited his office personally, leading to speculation that she may have demanded the role. This is not the first time such rumors have surfaced—director Rohit Shetty previously mentioned that Sara lobbied hard for her role in “Simmba.”

Popular YouTuber Ashish Chanchlani also indirectly referenced Sara in an interview, describing a Bollywood actress as “rude and irritating” off-camera, despite her humble public persona. While he didn’t name her, fans speculated he was referring to Sara, as he had worked with her on a promotional video.

Meanwhile, actress Ananya Panday has also spoken about being bullied by Sara during their school days, further fueling the perception of Sara’s problematic behavior. While both actresses now appear friendly in public, insiders suggest their relationship is far from genuine.

Despite numerous efforts by her PR team to show Sara as humble and down-to-earth, industry watchers and audiences alike seem unconvinced. Many believe her real personality is far from the image she tries to project.

As “Metro In Dino” continues its promotional run, the spotlight remains firmly on Sara Ali Khan—not just for her role in the film, but for the ongoing debate about her off-screen persona.
