In the aftermath of the tragic Air India Boeing crash in Ahmedabad, stories of fate and survival have emerged. Among them is that of Mr. Savji Bhai Timdiya, who narrowly escaped the disaster thanks to a last-minute cancellation of his flight ticket.

A Twist of Fate

Speaking to our correspondent, Savji Bhai shared, “I had a confirmed ticket for the flight, seat number A1. However, my son had booked the ticket, and when it came time to pay, he asked if I still wanted to go. For some reason, I declined. I believe it was Lord Swaminarayan who gave me the wisdom to cancel my ticket at the final moment.”

Savji Bhai, currently at the Swaminarayan temple, expressed deep gratitude for what he calls divine intervention. “I have immense faith in Lord Swaminarayan. I feel he inspired me to cancel my ticket, saving my life,” he said.

Grief Amid Relief

While Savji Bhai is thankful for his escape, the tragedy has left him deeply saddened. He lost a close friend, a fellow devotee, in the crash. “I found out about the accident at 2:00 PM. I was heartbroken when I heard the news, especially knowing that a dear friend, whom I had met just this morning, was among the victims,” he shared, his voice heavy with emotion.

His family, too, was overwhelmed by the news. “My child was in tears, saying, ‘Papa, your devotion and prayers saved you.’ Even my grandchild was moved, telling me that my faith had protected me,” Savji Bhai recounted.

Leaders Respond

In the wake of the disaster, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have personally overseen rescue and relief efforts. The government is working tirelessly to aid survivors and provide medical care to the injured. “We are fortunate to have a leader like Narendra Modi, who takes a personal interest in ensuring everyone’s safety and well-being,” Savji Bhai commented.

A New Lease on Life

Now surrounded by family and fellow devotees at the Swaminarayan temple, Savji Bhai reflects on his narrow escape and prays for the souls of those who perished. “I hope God grants peace to all those lost in the crash. I am grateful for this second chance at life,” he said, his gratitude mingled with sorrow for the victims.

As the rescue operations continue and the state government intensifies its relief efforts, survivors like Savji Bhai serve as a poignant reminder of the unpredictable turns of fate in times of tragedy.
