Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Donates Her Iconic Blue Eyes: Bollywood Stars Embrace Organ Donation

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, the daughter-in-law of the renowned Bachchan family, has decided to donate her legendary blue eyes. Aishwarya has pledged to donate her eyes through the Eye Bank Association of India. In the film industry, Aishwarya’s eyes are often regarded as the most beautiful—praised not just in India, but globally.

Now, after her death, Aishwarya’s striking blue eyes will restore the gift of sight to someone in need. Speaking about her decision, Aishwarya said, “My eyes are my greatest asset. By donating them, I can give someone the gift of seeing the world.” She made this pledge in 2010.

Inspired by her, her ex-boyfriend Salman Khan has also pledged to donate his bone marrow. After his passing, his bone marrow will be used to help patients in need.

Aishwarya’s father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan, has also promised to donate his eyes and other organs. Amitabh is well-known for his campaigns promoting organ donation awareness.

Other Bollywood celebrities have also made similar commitments. R. Madhavan has pledged to donate his entire body, while Kamal Haasan has promised to donate everything from his eyes to his kidneys. Superstar Rajinikanth has pledged to donate all his organs, believing that the service to humanity should continue even after death.

Global star Priyanka Chopra has also vowed to donate all her organs. In 2014, Aamir Khan announced his decision to donate all his organs as well. In 2021, after Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar passed away from a heart attack, his family donated his eyes, helping two people regain their eyesight.
