Controversy Erupts Over Objectionable Video Targeting SP MP Iqra Hasan

Kairana (Uttar Pradesh) – A new controversy has emerged in political circles after an objectionable video and messages concerning Samajwadi Party MP from Kairana, Iqra Hasan, went viral on social media. The issue has ignited strong reactions, and support for Iqra Hasan has started pouring in from various quarters.

Samajwadi Party MP from Moradabad, Ruchi Veera, has come out openly in support of Iqra Hasan, terming the incident not only condemnable but also an attack on women’s dignity. “Iqra Hasan is a woman MP and I am also a woman MP. The language and the videos targeting any woman in such a way are completely unacceptable. This is not just an insult to one individual, but to our democracy and women’s identity as a whole,” said Veera. She also vowed to raise the issue forcefully in Parliament and demanded strict action against the accused.

The controversy first erupted after Thakur Yogendra Singh Rana, the national vice-president of Karni Sena, released a video on Facebook expressing his desire to marry Iqra Hasan and making several personal remarks. The video, which soon went viral, drew widespread condemnation from both the public and political leaders. Rana also made derogatory comments about AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi and his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi in the same video.

SP leader S.T. Hasan has already expressed his discontent regarding the issue. Ruchi Veera joined him, stating that such actions represent not only a personal attack but an attack on every woman’s honor.

Social and political groups alike have condemned the incident. Many have said that such behavior insults the entire women’s community and called for legal action against Yogendra Singh Rana.
