Devoleena Bhattacharjee Takes Legal Action Against Online Racism Targeting Her Son

Television star Devoleena Bhattacharjee has taken a stand against online racism after her young son, Joy, became the target of hateful social media comments. Known for her popular roles on television, Devoleena said that while she is accustomed to facing criticism as a public figure, targeting her child has crossed the line.

Devoleena Bhattacharjee filed an FIR against for her Son after A Fan Mockked her 7month old Baby!

In a heartfelt message, Devoleena shared, “I have always accepted that being in the limelight brings both love and criticism. I’ve faced trolling for my work and lifestyle, but it never really bothered me. Even when people questioned my marriage, I chose to remain silent—that was my right. But this time, things have gone too far.”

Devoleena explained that the personal attacks on her toddler were deeply hurtful. “What really pained me is that these people targeted my baby. Just because I didn’t react earlier, they thought I would always remain silent.”

Determined to take action, Devoleena has collected evidence, including screenshots of the abusive comments, and has filed a complaint with the cybercrime cell. She revealed that some of the troll accounts have already disappeared from social media, but believes they will be brought to justice. “I am standing up to fight racism. Everyone deserves to live without fear and hate. I dream of a society where people aren’t judged by their appearance, religion, or background.”

Devoleena urged others not to ignore such incidents. “If we stay silent, we let racism win. We need to speak up so that those responsible are held accountable. No one should be let off the hook, and I will make sure no other child or parent has to suffer this again,” she said.

With her bold move, Devoleena hopes to inspire more people to take similar steps in the fight against online hate and discrimination.
