Hansika Motwani and Sohail Kathuria Headed for Divorce After Less Than Three Years of Marriage

For several days, actress Hansika Motwani and her husband Sohail Kathuria have been making headlines amid rumors of trouble in their marriage. Reports suggest the couple has been living separately for some time, and Hansika has all but confirmed their impending divorce by deleting all photos of Sohail—including their wedding pictures—from her social media accounts.

This was Sohail’s second marriage; his first wife was Rinky Bajaj, who was reportedly a close friend of Hansika. There was controversy surrounding their union, with allegations that Hansika was responsible for breaking up her friend’s marriage. Now, in a dramatic turn of events, Hansika’s own marriage is coming to an end just two and a half years after their much-publicized wedding.

According to the Hindustan Times, after tying the knot in December 2022, Hansika and Sohail initially lived with Sohail’s family. However, it proved difficult to adjust to the large family, and the couple soon moved into a separate flat in the same building. Even after moving out, issues between them persisted, leading Hansika to eventually leave and move in with her mother. Once Hansika left, Sohail moved back in with his family. Hansika has reportedly never returned to her marital home since.

Sources claim the couple has now begun divorce proceedings, and their marriage, despite its grand start, lasted only about six months together under one roof. Hansika’s wedding was a lavish affair held at a palace in Rajasthan, with the streaming rights sold to Jio Hotstar. Now, at just 33 years old, Hansika is preparing to start a new chapter as a divorcee.
