Educator Khan Sir Announces New Dialysis and Blood Bank Centers Across Bihar to Help the Poor
Patna’s renowned educator Khan Sir has announced the opening of a dialysis center near his coaching institute, aiming to provide life-saving medical facilities to the underprivileged. Coinciding with the last Monday of Sawan, Khan Sir revealed that dialysis machines imported from Germany had just arrived at Mumbai port, marking a significant step in his mission to improve healthcare accessibility in Bihar.
Khan Sir detailed his broader plan: “All our dialysis machines are coming from Germany. We will start in Patna and gradually expand to every district in Bihar. Our goal is to ensure that no poor patient will have to travel all the way to Patna for dialysis.” He described how the high cost of dialysis—about ₹15,000 per month—makes it nearly impossible for daily wage earners, like vegetable vendors or rickshaw pullers, to afford regular treatment. “They often have to choose between treatment and survival, and sometimes they die because they cannot pay for dialysis. I am not a doctor, but I want to do what I can to help,” he said.
In addition, Khan Sir is importing machines from Japan to set up blood banks, another initiative launching soon; the first blood bank center is planned to open on the first day of Navratri, and similar centers will be introduced across each district in Bihar. “We are also planning to establish a blood bank in Varanasi, which is a major medical hub. Many people from neighboring regions, including Jharkhand, come there for treatment but struggle due to lack of local support and relatives,” he explained.
Khan Sir emphasized that his mission is rooted in giving back to society, which played a major role in his own rise from humble beginnings. “Society made me who I am. Now, it’s time for me to give back. If we don’t help the society that raised us, then what is the meaning of our life?” he said.
He also revealed plans to open a hospital around the festival of Chhath, with all preparations already underway. Khan Sir noted that while there are many big hospitals for the rich, the poor often have to mortgage their land or belongings for medical care. “There is no shortage of hospitals for the rich in Patna. But where do the poor go? Their property is sold, their fields mortgaged,” he said.
Khan Sir’s vision goes beyond healthcare. He wants to provide affordable medical treatment, blood banking, and laboratory services with world-class equipment sourced from Germany, Japan, and the US. He expressed his hope that these efforts would inspire other educators and entrepreneurs to contribute to society in meaningful ways.
Humble and devoted, Khan Sir ended by highlighting the cultural and religious importance of timing these philanthropic projects with Sawan and Navratri, seeking divine blessings to ensure the success of his initiatives and the wellbeing of those they
