Former Uttar Pradesh DGP Retires: A Life of Service, Now Turning to Spiritual Reflection
Lucknow, India – The recently retired Director General of Police (DGP) of Uttar Pradesh has concluded an illustrious career dedicated to the service of the state and the nation. As he steps away from active duty, spiritual leaders and well-wishers have extended heartfelt blessings, encouraging him to now focus on the ultimate goal of human life—spiritual fulfillment and devotion to God.
“After serving the country and the state with full dedication, now is the time to remember God,” said a spiritual guide during a farewell address. “When the human body is left behind, let it be in the memory of the Divine.”
The message emphasized that receiving a human birth in a sacred land like India is a divine opportunity. “In this lifetime, you were entrusted with the responsibility of an entire state. That’s a rare honor. As you step into the next phase of life, let your actions ensure that your future births are also in human form, and may they bring happiness to the country and society.”
The speaker reflected on the spiritual consequences of human actions, warning against falling into lower forms of existence in the cycle of 8.4 million life forms. “Let us prove ourselves worthy of God’s grace and stay within the higher realms of existence.”
He also reminded the retired DGP that God has already given him everything. “Now, solitude is your best companion for reflection. The more you can meditate on God, the better. You’ve already spent a lifetime in public service. Now serve your family with the same spirit—this too is service to God.”
The address concluded with a universal blessing: “May everyone be happy, may all be content, may no one suffer. Continue to remember God. In His remembrance, all problems dissolve. As the scriptures say, ‘Hari Smriti Sarva Vipad Vimochan’—the memory of the Divine removes all obstacles.”
A final note urged not just concern for this life, but also the next. “We often forget that there is life beyond this one. Until the soul unites with the Supreme, the cycle of birth and death continues. If we were animals or birds in past lives and have become human now, we must strive to go even higher, not fall back.”
The retired officer was advised to continue his worldly responsibilities—like arranging his children’s weddings—with faith that everything is already predestined by God. “Your only task is to find what’s already been written.”
As he embarks on this new chapter, the emphasis is clear: public service may have ended, but the journey toward spiritual enlightenment continues.
