Haryana Model Sheetal Found Dead in Canal: Murder Suspected, Boyfriend Under Investigation
Tragedy struck Haryana’s Sonepat district when the body of Sheetal, a well-known model in the state’s music industry, was found in a canal. The incident has shocked the local community and raised serious questions about the circumstances of her death.
The Incident
According to reports, Sheetal left her home in Panipat two days earlier, telling her sister she was going for an album shoot. During her journey, an argument broke out between Sheetal and her boyfriend, Sunil. Sheetal called her sister, alleging that Sunil was forcibly taking her with him and had assaulted her. Shortly after, her phone was switched off.
Her dead body was later discovered in the Reliance canal area of Sonepat. Identification was confirmed through a tattoo on her body. The case took a twist when Sunil was found some distance away, unconscious near his car, which had also plunged into the canal. Sunil is currently hospitalized.
Family’s Allegations and Relationship Details
Sheetal’s family and friends allege that Sunil frequently fought and physically abused her. They claim he is an excellent swimmer and suspect he deliberately drove the car into the canal, escaping himself while Sheetal drowned. Sheetal’s sister revealed that Sunil pressured Sheetal to marry him, but she refused after learning that he was already married with two children.
The police are treating the case with suspicion. Initial post-mortem findings reportedly show deep cuts on Sheetal’s neck, suggesting foul play rather than accidental drowning. Police sources indicate this does not appear to be a mere accident.
Ongoing Investigation
Authorities are now collecting call details, CCTV footage, and other evidence to piece together the sequence of events. Sunil, who survived the incident, will be interrogated once his medical condition improves. Police are also investigating the couple’s relationship history to determine whether this was a premeditated crime or a tragic accident.
Community Response
Sheetal was a popular figure on social media and in the local music scene, with millions of followers on Instagram and Facebook. Her death has sparked outrage and sorrow, with many calling for a thorough investigation.
This case also echoes previous incidents involving models and performers in the region, raising concerns about the safety of women in the entertainment industry.
Conclusion
While the investigation is ongoing, many questions remain unanswered: Was Sheetal murdered before being thrown into the canal? Was the car deliberately driven into the water? Was this a case of domestic violence taken to a fatal extreme? The police are working to uncover the truth and bring justice to Sheetal and her family.
Further updates will follow as more information becomes available.
