Controversy Surrounds ‘The Traitors’ as Contestant Rebel Kit Faces Criticism and Hypocrisy Claims

A recent wave of controversy has hit reality show ‘The Traitors’ after contestants and guests on various interviews repeatedly targeted one of the show’s most talked-about participants, Apoorva, known online as ‘Rebel Kit’. The debate has sparked widespread discussion among fans about hypocrisy, attention-seeking, and the double standards prevalent in the entertainment industry.

During a recent interview, actors Harsh Gujral, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Jasmine Naseem discussed the show and its contestants, with most of their focus on Apoorva. Sudhanshu Pandey questioned why Apoorva uses the username ‘Rebel Kit’, asking what exactly she had done to earn the title ‘rebel’. He expressed concern that millions follow creators like Apoorva who, in his view, lack basic respect for elders. Still, fans noted that much of the interview was spent discussing Apoorva, contradicting Jasmine’s claim that Apoorva only seeks attention—since the attention is being provided by her critics themselves.

The discussion around Apoorva’s username was also seen as unnecessary, with Harsh attempting to explain that usernames are often chosen without deep meaning, similar to other popular influencers. Despite this, the focus remained on Apoorva throughout the interview, leading many to believe that jealousy over her popularity might be a motivating factor.

Additionally, a new controversy erupted after Rida, known as Apoorva’s close friend, appeared on Urfi’s show. Urfi and Apoorva had previously clashed on ‘The Traitors’, with Urfi making several statements against Apoorva. Fans were upset to see Rida on Urfi’s show, questioning her loyalty to Apoorva. Some labeled Rida a ‘fake friend’, recalling that she did not publicly support Apoorva during a difficult time, as Apoorva had indirectly mentioned in her videos.
