Karishma Kapoor Arrives in Delhi to Claim Her Children’s Share in Ex-Husband Sanjay Kapoor’s Property Amidst Family Dispute

Karishma Kapoor has arrived in Delhi with her two children to secure their share in the property of her ex-husband, Sanjay Kapoor. The Kapoor household has been thrown into turmoil just weeks after Sanjay Kapoor’s death, as disputes over the late businessman’s vast wealth have come to the surface.

Sanjay Kapoor, who passed away suddenly while playing polo in London on June 12 at the age of 52, did not name a legal heir to his assets, which are reportedly worth ₹40,000 crore. Following his passing, ownership of his assets has, by law, passed to his third wife, Priya Sachdev. This development has reportedly alarmed Karishma Kapoor, who now fears that the entire estate may go to Priya and her son, Sanjay’s third child.

On seeing the developments, Sanjay Kapoor’s mother, Rani Kapoor, wrote a letter alleging that some individuals are attempting to take over the family’s vast wealth, indirectly pointing fingers at Priya Sachdev. Priya has now taken up the position of AGM in Sanjay’s company, Sona Comstar – a well-known Indian auto parts manufacturer with business interests across Europe and beyond.

Meanwhile, Karishma Kapoor was recently spotted at Delhi airport with her two children, as she prepares to take legal steps to ensure her children receive their rightful share of their late father’s property. Sources suggest Karishma intends to demand the estate be divided into three shares – two for her children, Kiaan and Samaira, and one for Priya and her son.

Karishma is reportedly determined to fight for her children’s rights, making it clear that she will not back down. She is now ready to legally challenge Priya Sachdev for a fair distribution of Sanjay’s estate.

Sanjay Kapoor’s marital history adds complexity to the dispute. His first marriage was to fashion designer Nandita Mahtani, which ended in divorce after four years. He later married Karishma Kapoor in 2003, and the couple had two children together before divorcing in 2016. Sanjay then married Priya Sachdev in 2017, with whom he had a son. Prior to marrying Sanjay, Priya was also previously married.

As family members and stakeholders await the outcome, all eyes are on how Karishma Kapoor will secure her children’s inheritance from Sanjay Kapoor’s extensive personal and business assets.
