Pawan Singh’s Wife, Jyoti Singh, Eyes Bihar Assembly Election: Will Contest From One of Three Seats

As the Bihar Assembly election approaches, candidates are firming up their plans—and so is Jyoti Singh, wife of Bhojpuri star and “Power Star” Pawan Singh. In a recent media interaction, Jyoti Singh announced she would soon confirm her candidature from one of three legislative assembly seats: Karakat, Naveen Nagar, or Dehri.

Jyoti Singh stated that she would make her final decision and official announcement regarding her contest within the next 10 days. When questioned about her political allegiance, she clarified that if any party offers her a ticket for any one of her preferred seats, she will contest under that party’s banner. However, if no party nominates her for one of these three constituencies, she is prepared to enter the fray as an independent candidate.

Singh also revealed that several parties have considered her for other constituencies, such as Buxar, Ara, and Bahara, but she remains firm in her preference for Karakat, Naveen Nagar, or Dehri, citing her year-long groundwork and dedication to these areas.

Asked about her agenda, Jyoti Singh emphasized development and employment opportunities as top priorities. “I have been working at the ground level for the past year and see many things that need to be improved. Incumbent leaders should focus on core issues, and there is a lot of work to be done for this region’s development,” she said.

While Pawan Singh has yet to announce his own electoral plans, Jyoti Singh’s candidacy has already added excitement to the political scene. The question remains: Will both Pawan Singh and Jyoti Singh contest the upcoming elections, or will Jyoti go solo into the political arena this time?
