Kannada Actor Santosh Balaraj Passes Away at 34 After Battle with Jaundice

Popular Kannada actor Santosh Balaraj has passed away at the young age of 34. According to reports, he had been suffering from jaundice for the past few weeks, and despite receiving treatment, his health steadily deteriorated. Santosh breathed his last at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday in the Intensive Care Unit of Apollo Hospital in Kumaraswamy Layout, Bengaluru.

Doctors reported that Santosh was battling serious liver and kidney complications, which resulted in severe jaundice. He had been hospitalized for about a month before his passing, and had recently slipped into a coma. Despite the best efforts of the medical team, his organs could not recover.

Santosh Balaraj was well known for his roles in Kannada films such as “Ganapa” and “Kariya 2.” His sudden death has come as a shock to his fans and to the Kannada film industry, where he was considered a promising and rising talent.

Santosh was the son of producer Anitha Balaraj, who backed the 2013 film “Kariya” starring Darshan. Tragically, his father passed away in a road accident in 2022. Santosh was unmarried and lived with his mother.

He made his acting debut in 2009 with the film “Kempa,” which was produced by his father. The loss of this talented young actor has left Kannada cinema in mourning, and he will be remembered for his significant contributions to the industry.
