Veteran Telugu Actor Fishb Winkit Passes Away at 52 After Battling Organ Failure

Veteran Telugu actor Fishb Winkit has sadly passed away on July 18, 2025, at the age of 52 after a prolonged battle with severe health issues. Known for his comedic timing and authentic Telangana accent, Winkit had been a beloved figure in Telugu cinema for over two decades.

According to reports, the actor had been suffering from severe kidney and liver failure for several months. His health deteriorated rapidly in recent weeks, requiring frequent dialysis and eventually, ventilator support. The family was reportedly in desperate need of financial assistance to afford a life-saving kidney transplant, estimated to cost around 50 lakhs rupees. Winkit’s daughter, Shravanti, even made a public appeal for help.

Contrary to rumors on social media claiming that actor Prabhas had extended financial support, the family clarified that these reports were false and misleading. Instead, real assistance came from several quarters: actors Pawan Kalyan, Vishwak Sen, and even a Telangana government minister all contributed towards the mounting medical expenses.

Despite these efforts, a suitable kidney donor could not be found in time, and Fishb Winkit tragically succumbed to his illnesses.

Following news of his passing, actor Sonu Sood offered a heartfelt gesture by extending 1.5 lakhs rupees in financial aid to Winkit’s family. Reportedly, Sonu was under the impression that the actor was still hospitalized and was shocked and saddened to learn of his death.

Fishb Winkit made a significant contribution to Telugu cinema through his memorable sidekick roles, often providing comic relief that endeared him to audiences. His death is a substantial loss to the film industry.

We offer our deepest condolences to Fishb Winkit’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. May his soul rest in peace.
