Shah Rukh Khan’s Daughter Suhana Khan in Trouble Over Land Purchase

Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has landed in serious trouble after purchasing land worth ₹12.91 crore near Mumbai. The government has launched an investigation into the matter.

In May 2023, Suhana bought a plot in Thal village, Alibaug, from three sisters who claimed the land was inherited from their parents. During the purchase, Suhana reportedly identified herself as a “farmer” in the official documents.

According to media reports, the land in question is government property that was allocated to local farmers for agricultural purposes. Suhana allegedly bought the land without obtaining the necessary government permissions, which has now triggered a probe.

There is speculation that the land could be seized from Suhana. Maharashtra law strictly states that only individuals who are farmers, or whose families already own agricultural land, are eligible to buy such plots. Non-farmers are not permitted to purchase agricultural land directly. Furthermore, land allocated by the government for farming cannot be sold directly without proper procedures.

When Suhana made the purchase, many raised questions about how she managed to declare herself a farmer, given her celebrity status and family background. At the time, the matter did not gain much traction, but it has now come under official scrutiny.

It remains to be seen what actions the authorities will take in this case. What do you think? Was it right or wrong for Suhana to declare herself a farmer to buy the land? Share your views in the comments, and subscribe to Bollywood Pe Charcha for more updates.
