Daljeet Kaur Slams Ex-Husband Shalin Bhanot for Cutting Ties With Their Son After Her Second Divorce

Bollywood Desk – In a recent interview, television actress Daljeet Kaur has openly criticized her ex-husband, actor Shalin Bhanot, for severing all ties with their 10-year-old son, Jaydon, in the aftermath of her second failed marriage.

Daljeet Kaur, who married Shalin Bhanot in 2009, went through a public and tumultuous divorce following allegations of domestic abuse, which failed to stand in court. Despite Shalin winning the case, Daljeet was granted custody of their son. Over the years, Shalin reportedly kept in contact with Jaydon—until Daljeet remarried Nikhil Patel. After just 10 months, Daljeet’s marriage to Patel ended due to alleged infidelity.

According to Daljeet’s interview with Glataa India, the biggest impact of these turbulent events has been on Jaydon, her son. She expressed deep disappointment that Shalin did not support Jaydon during this difficult time. When asked about Shalin, Daljeet sarcastically responded, “Who is Shalin?” She elaborated that Shalin never called or sent a message, not even to offer support to their son.

Daljeet added, “Even if he had said, ‘It was your decision to marry again—deal with it,’ but at least he could have supported Jaydon, telling him, ‘Don’t worry, son, I’m here for you.’ If he had done that, I would have forgotten all the bad history for life. But if he’s ignoring my son because of me, that’s unacceptable, especially after maintaining contact with him for nine years, only to abandon him in our toughest moment.”

She revealed that Jaydon now sometimes asks if Shalin has tried to contact them, perhaps wondering himself what he might have done wrong to lose his father’s presence. Daljeet questioned Shalin’s humanity, saying, “My son doesn’t deserve this. Shalin’s PR team might send messages when I talk about him publicly, but that means little to me. Humanity should come first.”

Daljeet and Shalin’s relationship has long been a topic of public discussion, especially after Daljeet accused Shalin of domestic abuse—a claim not proven in court. After their separation, the court awarded Daljeet custody of their son, while Shalin maintained some contact.

However, post Daljeet’s second marriage and subsequent divorce, Shalin has reportedly cut off all communication with Jaydon, leaving Daljeet to raise him alone once again.
