According to sources, Shefali had been undergoing intensive anti-aging treatments for the past five to six years. These treatments, primarily aimed at maintaining a youthful look and improving skin texture, included regular use of Vitamin C and glutathione—substances commonly used for skin fairness and detoxification.

Close associates revealed to NDTV that Shefali was receiving these treatments under medical supervision. Her doctor clarified that while Vitamin C and glutathione are purely cosmetic and generally do not directly affect the heart, Shefali was consistently consuming these anti-aging medicines every month for several years.

On June 27, the day of her passing, Shefali was fasting due to a religious ceremony at home. Despite fasting, she took an injection of her anti-aging medicine that afternoon, as per her routine. This detail has come to light during the ongoing police investigation, with authorities considering whether these medicines could have contributed to her cardiac arrest.

Visuals from outside the hospital showed Shefali’s husband, Parag, in tears, as the family has yet to release an official statement regarding her death.

Shefali Jariwala first rose to fame with the iconic 2002 music video “Kaanta Laga,” which became a massive hit and catapulted her into stardom. As the industry and her fans mourn her untimely loss, many are left questioning the true risks of cosmetic treatments in the pursuit of everlasting youth.
