Shehnaaz Gill Slams Bigg Boss 19 Format, Calls Voting Between Shehbaz and Mridul Tiwari ‘Unfair’

Television star Shehnaaz Gill has openly criticized the makers of Bigg Boss 19 for what she calls an “unfair” eviction process involving her brother, Shehbaz. This controversy erupted after the show’s new season introduced a unique format: contestants are now being selected through public voting, with a recently released promo pitting Shehnaaz’s brother Shehbaz against popular YouTuber Mridul Tiwari. Only one of the two will get the opportunity to enter Bigg Boss 19, based on viewers’ votes.

Shehnaaz, who rose to fame with her memorable stint in Bigg Boss 13, took to Instagram to condemn the process. In her video, she says, “Ever since I entered Bigg Boss 13, Shehbaz has dreamt of participating in the show. He was loved by everyone even during his week-long stint. Now, finally, he has received a chance to enter Bigg Boss 19, but it’s so unfair that both boys have been nominated for eviction even before they could enter the house.”

Shehnaaz further stated, “I honestly want both boys to get a chance. But I really want you all to vote for Shehbaz and let’s see what happens. They are extremely keen to go inside, but once inside, they’ll realize how tough the journey is. I hope you send both of them inside, but if you want Shehbaz to be in the house, please vote for him!”

This season of Bigg Boss, themed “Gharwalon Ki Sarkar” (Government of the Housemates), is set to stream from August 24. Housemates will wield major decision-making powers this time. While most contestants for the season have already been finalized, the competition between Shehbaz and Mridul is being decided solely by public votes, and Mridul is currently seen as the frontrunner due to his massive fan following.
