Tragedy in Gurugram: Father K|lls Daughter Radhika Yadav Amid Social Pressure and Character Assassination

Gurugram, Haryana – The shocking murder of Radhika Yadav by her own father has sent shockwaves through the community, raising questions about parental trust, societal pressure, and the consequences of mental stress.

Radhika Yadav, a young woman from Gurugram, had worked in a music album with actor Inamul Haq about a year and a half ago. Following her death, her character has been maligned by linking her name with the actor and criticizing her makeup choices. However, after the tragic incident, Radhika’s family admits that what happened should never have occurred.

Radhika’s friend Himanshika shared that Radhika’s father was driven to this extreme act due to taunts from his friends, who were jealous of Radhika’s success. “Her father was influenced by his friends’ jealousy and negative comments. It raises the question: did her father not trust his own daughter? Did he not value her life more than what society said?” Himanshika asked.

Experts say that decisions made under mental stress can have disastrous consequences. Some parents, out of immaturity or impatience, impose their will on their children, believing that a child who does not obey is better off dead. This mindset is deeply troubling and highlights a lack of understanding and maturity among some parents.

After the incident, Mahavir Phogat, the Dronacharya Award winner and father of famous athletes Geeta and Babita, stated, “Families must give their daughters full respect and freedom. Parents should trust their daughters and guide them with love and understanding, not with accusations or violence. Our country promotes ‘Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter,’ and I have proven the importance of supporting daughters to the world.”

The accused father has confessed to his crime, and the family has unequivocally condemned the act. The law will now take its course.
