Two Arrested in Kushinagar on Allegations of Forced Religious Conversion and Fake Documents Involving Minors

First Case: Naurangia Police Station Jurisdiction

The first incident was reported from the Naurangia police station area. According to police sources and the victim’s family, a man named Naushad Ansari is accused of forcibly converting a minor girl’s religion and subsequently making a fake Aadhaar card. The alleged motive was to take the minor across the border to Nepal. After the family lodged a complaint with local authorities, Naushad was taken into custody. The police are currently probing Naushad’s connection with Nepal from an angle of possible trafficking and forced conversion.

Second Case: Sewrahi Police Station Jurisdiction

In a separate case under Sewrahi police station, a school van driver allegedly changed his identity from Sajjad Hussain to Chunnu to gain trust. Reports state that he then coerced a minor into converting her religion and had an Aadhaar card made for her under the name “Soni Khatoon.” The accused is also charged with the sexual exploitation of the minor. He has since been arrested, and police officials confirm they are investigating the matter from several angles, including identity fraud and exploitation.

Both incidents have raised concerns among locals and authorities, who have assured that comprehensive investigations are underway. The police emphasize that those involved in such criminal activities will be prosecuted strictly as per law.
