With faltering steps and difficulty walking, Manju Asrani was seen devastated at the cremation of her husband, legendary actor Asrani. Once, they had vowed to be together for seven lifetimes, but now Manju herself came to bid farewell to her life partner at the crematorium.

Asrani, the veteran actor, is no longer among us. He passed away on Diwali, October 20, at around 3:00 PM. His last rites were performed later that evening.

When people received the heartbreaking news of Asrani’s demise on Diwali night, they were further shocked to learn that his cremation had already taken place. In fact, the family shared the news only after the funeral. This decision was made to honor Asrani’s final wish: he wanted his last rites to be conducted quietly, without any public spectacle, and only a few close family members present. He had expressed this wish to his wife, Manju, long before his passing, wanting to depart in peace.

Manju Asrani respected her husband’s last wish. She accompanied him on his final journey and ensured his farewell was as he desired. After the cremation, a video surfaced showing Manju in a distressed state, leaving the crematorium with the help of a walker due to age-related health issues. Despite her physical difficulties, she managed to climb stairs and walk—just to say a final goodbye to her beloved husband.

This video has gone viral on social media, leaving fans emotional and teary-eyed. With Asrani’s death, Manju is now alone. The couple had no children, and throughout their lives, they remained each other’s support. Now, even that companionship has ended.

For those unaware, Manju Asrani was also a film actress before marriage, known as Manju Bansal. She was a prominent actress in the 1970s. Asrani and Manju fell in love while working together in films like “Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar” and “Namak Haraam.” Their love blossomed, and eventually, they got married. Manju remained active in films until the 1980s but later stepped away from acting and public life.

The couple never had children. Later, Asrani adopted his nephew Naveen, who is now the heir to Asrani’s estate.
