Viral Video Shows Kanwariyas Vandalizing School Bus in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh

A shocking video from Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, has gone viral on social media, showing a group of Kanwariyas (devotees participating in the annual Kanwar Yatra) vandalizing a school bus in full view of the police.

The incident took place in the Begumpul area of Meerut, where a group of Kanwariyas had placed their Kanwars (sacred water pots carried by devotees) on the road and were resting. As a school bus was passing by, it reportedly collided with one of the Kanwars.

This triggered the anger of the Kanwariyas, who then began smashing the bus, causing significant damage. The video captures the extent of the destruction, with the front section of the bus left completely shattered.

According to reports, the Kanwariyas accused the bus of hitting and breaking their Kanwar, which is considered highly sacred and is carried with great devotion. The breaking of the Kanwar enraged the group, leading them to take the law into their own hands and vandalize the bus.

While the Kanwariyas’ devotion is respected, no one is allowed to take the law into their own hands. The visuals show the Kanwariyas collectively smashing the windows and damaging the bus, which was a school vehicle.

The incident has raised concerns over law and order during the Kanwar Yatra and the need for stricter measures to prevent such acts of violence.
