Bulandshahr’s Little Genius Duggu: Three-Year-Old Battles Rare Illness With Extraordinary Memory, Family Appeals for Help

In the town of Siyana, a three-year-old boy named Duggu is capturing hearts across the country. Despite being unable to sit or stand like other children his age due to a severe medical condition, Duggu’s remarkable intelligence and memory have made his story go viral on social media.

A Challenging Start to Life

Duggu’s journey has been difficult from the very beginning. His mother, Reshu Gautam, recalls how doctors warned her during pregnancy that her child would be born with disabilities. “When Duggu was born, he wasn’t even breathing. The doctors told us he might not survive, but we refused to give up on him,” she shares.

From hospital to hospital, Duggu’s parents searched for treatment. Doctors soon discovered that Duggu’s bones were extremely fragile—so much so that even holding him could cause fractures. For months, Duggu had to lie on a plastic sheet, unable to be picked up by his parents.

A Mind Beyond His Years

While Duggu’s body is frail, his mind is nothing short of extraordinary. Despite his medical challenges, Duggu has demonstrated a memory and understanding far beyond his age. At just one and a half years old, he could recite entire poems after hearing them only once. Today, Duggu can remember phone numbers, addresses, and even details about national leaders—facts most children his age cannot grasp.

“I never taught him about past lives or anything like that,” says his mother. “But his memory is sharper than any child I’ve seen. Whatever I tell him, he remembers and repeats perfectly.”

Dreams of Becoming a Doctor

Duggu’s dream is clear: he wants to become a doctor and help other children in need. Inspired by her son’s determination, Reshu is committed to doing everything possible to make his dream come true. “I want to see him earn every degree and make our country proud,” she says.

A Family’s Plea for Support

Duggu’s family, struggling financially, has sold their auto-rickshaw to pay for his treatments. Now, they appeal to the government and society for help. “We want Duggu to study in a good school, get proper medical care, and one day stand on his own feet,” says Reshu. “We are a poor family, but we have big dreams for our son. With some support, we believe Duggu can achieve anything.”

A Message of Hope

Duggu’s story is a testament to the power of hope, love, and resilience. Despite life’s hardships, this little boy’s brilliant mind and indomitable spirit shine bright, inspiring everyone who hears his story.
