Predators on the Prowl

Sitting hundreds of kilometers away in Gorakhpur, Sahiba Bano and her lover Kaushal Kumar saw Indra’s viral video. Their greed was ignited. Together, they hatched a deadly plot: Sahiba would pose as “Khushi Tiwari,” a potential bride, while Kaushal played the part of a helpful brother.

Fake Aadhaar cards were made, identities changed, and the trap was set.

The Deadly Honeytrap

Kaushal traveled to Jabalpur, introduced Khushi as his sister, and proposed marriage to Indra. Sweet phone conversations followed, drawing Indra into a web of deceit. Soon, he was invited to Gorakhpur for what he believed would be the start of a new life.

Before the wedding, Indra was made to sign an affidavit stating that all his property would go to Khushi Tiwari in the event of his death. The first stage of the plot was complete.

Murder in the Name of Love

On June 5th, the conspirators took Indra to a hotel in Kushinagar, staging a fake wedding ceremony. They recorded videos, even performing the ritual of applying sindoor. But as Indra ate his meal, he was drugged with sleeping pills mixed into paneer rice.

Once unconscious, Sahiba, Kaushal, and their accomplice Shamsuddin Ansari loaded Indra into a car and drove him to a deserted area near Sukrauli. There, they brutally stabbed him to death, stealing his cash, jewelry, ATM card, and crucial land documents before fleeing the scene.

Police Crack the Case

Kushinagar police quickly unraveled the chilling plot. Sahiba Bano (alias Khushi Tiwari), Kaushal Kumar, and Shamsuddin Ansari were arrested. Police recovered the victim’s phone, ATM card, land papers, and wedding jewelry. The car used in the crime was also seized.

For their swift action in solving this sensational blind murder, the police team received a ₹25,000 reward from the SP of Kushinagar.

A Sinister Social Media Connection

During interrogation, the accused revealed they met via social media and concocted the plan after seeing Indra’s viral video. They targeted him specifically because of his wealth and vulnerability.

A Stark Warning

This tragic case is a grim reminder of the dangers lurking behind viral fame and misplaced trust. Indra Kumar Tiwari’s story, which began with a simple question to a spiritual leader, ended in a horrifying betrayal and murder—a true crime that has shocked the heart of India.
