CCTV Footage Reveals Chilling Details in Chandan Mishra Murder at Paras Hospital
The investigation into the high-profile murder of gangster Chandan Mishra inside Patna’s Paras Hospital continues to unravel shocking new details through a series of CCTV footage released by police.
The initial footage that surfaced showed five assailants walking confidently through the hospital corridors, reminiscent of a crime thriller. With no sign of fear, they entered Mishra’s ward and executed their plan, gunning him down in broad daylight before fleeing the premises.
A second CCTV video later emerged, capturing the killers celebrating and escaping the scene on two motorcycles. But it is the third and latest CCTV footage that has provided the most answers for investigators — and raised new, troubling questions about hospital security and planning.
Mastermind Tausif ‘Badshah’ Seen Leading the Attack
The video footage, released by police, clearly shows Tausif Badshah—identified as the alleged mastermind—leading four other shooters into the hospital. Sources say Tausif’s familiarity with the premises came from frequent hospital visits while a close relative was under treatment at Paras. This inside knowledge seems to have been critical for the smooth execution of the plan.
The CCTV clip depicts the group gathering behind the hospital, discreetly mapping their strategy. Tausif is seen directing each step, guiding the shooters on how to enter undetected, which shortcuts to use, and how to bypass security and staff. While the other men cover their faces with caps, Tausif appears unmasked and confident, making no efforts to hide his identity.
Exploiting Security Flaws
Reports suggest that Tausif knew specific details: the location of Mishra’s room, the fact that the lock on room 209 was faulty, and even where security was lax. According to police sources, hospital guards did try to challenge Tausif at the entrance, asking for a gate pass—but he simply changed routes and entered through the OPD, heading directly to the ICU where Mishra was housed.
Within moments, the team stormed in and shot Chandan Mishra dead. Investigators believe Tausif was hired for the hit, likely by a long-standing rival. After the murder, all suspects—including Tausif’s family members—have gone underground. Police are intensifying raids and questioning hospital staff and other potential witnesses.
Key Questions Remain
How did the perpetrators acquire such detailed information? Was there inside help, or was Tausif’s prior familiarity enough? Most importantly, who ultimately ordered the hit on Chandan Mishra?
Police have detained over a dozen people for questioning and are scrutinizing every second of available footage across the hospital’s surveillance network. As the investigation accelerates, the spotlight also falls on hospital security standards and loopholes that allowed the killers to strike so brazenly.
