Kapil Sharma’s Cafe Attacked Again in Canada: Gangs Link Shooting to Salman Khan, Bollywood Targeted
In a shocking escalation, Kapil Sharma’s “Cap’s Cafe” in Canada has been struck by gunfire for the second time in just a month. This time, at least 25 bullets were fired at the Surrey, British Columbia premises, leaving the local community and fans worldwide in fear and disbelief.
Responsibility for the latest attack was claimed on social media by two notorious gangs reportedly led by Gurprit Singh alias Aras Guli Denlo and Lawrence Bishnoi. In a chilling online statement and a purported video circulating on social media, a masked voice is heard saying, “We called the target but he didn’t hear the ring. So we had to take action. If he still doesn’t hear the ring, the next action will be in Mumbai.”
The Salman Khan Connection
The shadow of Bollywood looms large over the case, with reports suggesting that the attacks may be tied to Kapil Sharma’s alleged closeness to superstar Salman Khan. Bishnoi, already notorious for targeting Khan in India, is said to have been angered by Salman Khan’s appearance at the grand opening of Cap’s Cafe and his featured role in the “Great Indian Kapil Show” on Netflix, which premiered its third season on June 21st.
Sources indicate that the criminal groups’ objective may not only be extortion but also to send a chilling message to Bollywood’s biggest stars, creating an atmosphere of fear within the industry.
Heartbreak Amid Hope
In response to the attack, Cap’s Cafe issued an emotional statement: “We opened Cap’s Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. But we stand firm against violence and will not let these acts destroy our vision.”
As investigations intensify both in Canada and Mumbai—where police have reportedly heightened security for Kapil Sharma and other celebrities—questions grow about the safety of Indian stars abroad and the cross-continental reach of organized gangs.
With bullets flying where laughter and coffee were meant to flourish, Cap’s Cafe now stands as a symbol of the disturbing new threats facing Bollywood’s global community. The connection to Salman Khan and the broader intimidation of the entertainment industry highlight an urgent need for coordinated action against such transnational criminal targeting.
