Khan Sir Receives Record 15,000 Rakhis, Announces Plans for Affordable Healthcare and Cancer Hospital

Famed Patna-based educator Khan Sir continues to break his own records when it comes to celebrating Raksha Bandhan, having received nearly 15,000 rakhis this year. In a heartfelt conversation, Khan Sir shared not just the growing affection from his “sisters,” but also his expanding vision for healthcare and farmers’ welfare in Bihar.

Breaking Records and Unbreakable Trust

Khan Sir remarked, “Every year I have to break my own record. Receiving 15,000 rakhis this year is an overwhelming gesture of trust.” He highlighted a memorable moment from this Raksha Bandhan, when a young woman whose father is suffering from pancreatic cancer requested him to open a cancer hospital. Touched by her faith, Khan Sir promised to initiate efforts to make specialized healthcare accessible and affordable.

Healthcare for the Poor

Addressing the serious lack of affordable healthcare for the underprivileged, Khan Sir outlined his plans to establish dialysis centers and blood banks in every district of Bihar, with a focus on transparency and minimum charges to avoid misuse. “The rich have access to the best hospitals, but for a rickshaw puller or someone working as a maid, even basic tests cost thousands of rupees. Our centers will provide these services at the lowest possible cost, charging a small fee for dignity and to prevent misuse,” he explained.

He shared a touching story of an elderly woman bringing a small sum wrapped in her cloth as a token payment, emphasizing that the respect of the poor is priceless.

Education Remains at the Core

For those sisters unable to tie rakhi in person, Khan Sir has gifted access to his crash courses for major government exams at just ₹99, reaffirming his belief that education is the greatest gift a teacher can give.

No Plans for Politics

Amid discussions and media speculation about his possible entry into politics or a seat in the Rajya Sabha, Khan Sir was clear: “I have no interest in politics. My mission is education, healthcare, and support for farmers. Educated individuals should join politics, but for now, my commitment is to my students and society.”

Farmers’ Welfare Next on the Agenda

Outlining his future goals, Khan Sir expressed a strong desire to help farmers increase their income by offering alternative opportunities, with the aim of lifting millions out of poverty. “Farmers feed us three times a day. If we can help even a lakh farmers become financially stable, it would be a great achievement,” he said.

Special Raksha Bandhan Requests Met with Promises

When asked about the special requests from his sisters this year, Khan Sir revealed that along with the demand for a cancer hospital, another asked for affordable heart surgeries for her father. He pledged to research and establish systems that can provide such treatment at a fraction of the current cost.

In Summary

Khan Sir’s commitment to social service is evident in his words and actions—from record-breaking Raksha Bandhan celebrations to concrete plans for health and farmers’ welfare. As he puts it, “The nation has given me so much love. Now it’s time to give back.”
