Mayawati Criticizes Saints Over Ambedkar Remarks

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader Mayawati has sparked discussion after criticizing certain saints and religious figures for their comments about Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Without naming anyone directly, Mayawati advised on social media that those who lack accurate knowledge about Ambedkar’s immense contributions to the Indian Constitution should refrain from making misleading statements.

Her comments are believed to be in response to recent remarks made by Jagadguru Rambhadracharya, who claimed that Ambedkar was not a hero of social justice and questioned his role in drafting the Constitution. Rambhadracharya also stated that if Ambedkar knew Sanskrit, he would not have burned the Manusmriti.

Mayawati emphasized that Ambedkar was a great scholar and advised saints to avoid controversial statements about him. She also urged them to understand why Ambedkar’s followers oppose Manusmriti and to set aside caste-based prejudice.

This is not the first time Rambhadracharya has made such comments about Ambedkar. The debate continues to draw attention on social media, with Mayawati calling for respectful and informed discussions about historical figures and their legacies.
