Bollywood actress and former Miss India, Tanushree Dutta, has left the country shocked after she shared a deeply distressing video on social media, appealing for immediate help and describing ongoing harassment inside her own home. The viral footage shows Tanushree in tears, her voice trembling as she begs, “Someone help me. I’m being troubled in my own house.”

A Desperate Call for Help

In the video, Tanushree reveals she called the police out of desperation. “I just called the cops. Police came and told me to come to the station for a formal complaint. I’m unwell, but I’ll probably go tomorrow or the day after,” she says, her vulnerability clear. She alleges that for the last four to five years, she has endured relentless harassment, leading to deteriorating health and deep emotional distress.

Harassed in Her Own Home

Tanushree describes feeling unsafe in her own house, unable to trust even domestic help, mentioning how “planted” maids have entered her home and created chaos, stealing things and making her life a misery. “I have to do all my own work,” she laments, pointing to a life filled with anxiety and constant surveillance.

She further claims that people have been gathering outside her door, intensifying her fear and isolation. “I’m being troubled in my own house. Please, someone help me,” she pleads in the emotional clip.

Years of Mental Torture

Sharing another video, Tanushree exposes the strange, loud noises she has endured outside her door and on her rooftop for years—sometimes described as explosive sounds occurring at odd hours. Despite multiple complaints to building management, no action was taken, forcing her to give up hope and simply cope. “Now I just use headphones and listen to Hindu chants to keep myself distracted and calm,” she writes.

Tanushree admits her health has deteriorated drastically due to chronic stress and anxiety, suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome for the past five years. “Today, I was extremely unwell… People can understand now what I have been going through,” she shares with her followers.

A History of Controversy and Courage

Tanushree Dutta first shot into the limelight in 2018 when she accused veteran actor Nana Patekar of sexual harassment during the shooting of the film Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008—an allegation that became a catalyst for India’s #MeToo movement. However, after an official investigation, the case was closed due to lack of evidence.

Just a day before this incident, Tanushree made headlines again by posting serious allegations against superstar Salman Khan in her Instagram stories.

A Cry That Echoes Beyond Fame

Her latest emotional plea has not only concerned her fans but has also raised alarms about the safety and mental well-being of celebrities behind closed doors. Many have called for an immediate, thorough investigation, and for support structures for those facing prolonged harassment—no matter who they are.

As the video continues to circulate, the nation waits to see what action the authorities will take. For now, her haunting words remain: “I am being troubled in my own house. Someone help me.”
