In a shocking revelation, popular TV actress Rubina Dilaik has spoken out about a heartbreaking issue—her 19-month-old twin daughters are already being targeted by colorism. Known for her open approach to sharing personal updates with her fans, Rubina recently revealed how her daughters have become the subject of inappropriate comparisons and insensitive comments simply because of their skin tones.

Rubina, who became a mother after five years of marriage in 2023, has always used blogging and social media to keep her followers updated on her family life. This time, however, she used her platform to highlight just how harsh and judgmental society can be—even towards innocent children.

“My daughters are just 18-19 months old,” Rubina shared, “yet people already compare their complexions. One of my daughters is fair, and the other is dusky. People come, look at them, and start making comparisons. It’s just wrong.” The actress became visibly emotional while describing the situation.

Rubina went on to say that she does everything she can to shield her daughters from beauty stereotypes at home. “I don’t allow such comparisons in my own house, but sometimes even family members make comments and suggest things like pastes or creams to lighten my child’s skin. I always ask—why should I do that? My daughters are beautiful just as they are.”

She further stated, “It took me more than 30 years to understand that there are no real standards of beauty. No one should try to set such standards for my daughters.”

To protect her children from toxic beauty standards and the pressures of city life, Rubina has chosen to raise her twins in her hometown of Shimla, away from Mumbai’s pollution and constant scrutiny. She shared that she wants her daughters to grow up breathing clean air and playing in the soil of their ancestral village. However, during the monsoon season, they temporarily return to Mumbai.

Fans and many in the public have praised Rubina’s decision, supporting her stand against colorism and applauding her for raising awareness about an issue many wish was left in the past.
