MNS Workers Vandalize Dance Bar in Panvel Following Raj Thackeray’s Controversial Remarks

Last night in Panvel, Mumbai, supporters of Raj Thackeray’s party, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), stormed a dance bar and carried out a violent attack on the premises. Video footage shows MNS workers, armed with sticks and hockey sticks, arriving at the “Night Rider” dance bar and smashing windows, lights, and other property outside the establishment.

Within minutes, the bar was left nearly unrecognizable due to the extent of the destruction. Despite the chaos, the group continued their rampage. What is even more shocking is the complete absence of police during the incident, leaving the assailants uncontested in their actions.

This act of vandalism came shortly after Raj Thackeray made a statement expressing concern that the rising number of dance bars poses a threat to Marathi identity. The attack on the Panvel dance bar is seen as a response to his controversial remarks.

The incident has raised serious questions about law and order. While MNS workers have previously been involved in acts of hooliganism on linguistic grounds, the latest attack suggests a new trend of vigilante action, this time targeting dance bars.

As of now, there has been no word on whether legal action will be taken against those involved in the violence. The incident has sparked widespread debate about the recurring instances of mob justice and the lack of immediate police intervention.

Will the authorities hold the perpetrators accountable this time? The public continues to await an official response as concerns about security and rule of law grow in Mumbai.
