The incident took place in Jafrabadi village under Thakurdwara police station. According to reports, the woman, a resident of Uttarakhand, claimed she had been in a relationship with Rizwan, a local youth, for the past seven years. She alleged that Rizwan had promised to marry her, but after years of intimacy and repeated assurances, he is now refusing to fulfill his promise.

The woman further accused Rizwan of sexually exploiting her under the pretext of marriage and taking her to different hotels over the years. Matters escalated when she arranged to marry someone else, but Rizwan allegedly sent her obscene photos to her new fiancé, causing the engagement to break off.

In her statement, the woman said, “Rizwan kept promising marriage and our relationship continued. When my family arranged another match, he threatened them and sent compromising pictures, forcing the engagement to end. Now he is refusing to marry me himself.”

As the protest outside Rizwan’s house grew, tensions ran high. The woman also accused Rizwan’s family of assaulting her and snatching her jewelry when she confronted them at their residence. “His sisters and brother-in-law beat me up and took my gold earrings,” she claimed.

Meanwhile, Rizwan reportedly fled from his home as the situation escalated. The woman has filed a formal complaint with the Thakurdwara police, who have registered a case against Rizwan and his family. However, no arrests have been made so far, and the police have assured further action after investigation.

The woman remains adamant about marrying Rizwan, while his family has yet to issue any statement. The incident has become the talk of the village, sparking debates over trust, betrayal, and justice in love affairs.
