Viral Video Shows Member of Transgender Community Protesting Inside Lucknow Court, Sparks Social Media Debate

A video involving a member of the transgender community has again triggered discussion in Uttar Pradesh’s capital, Lucknow. Unlike previous incidents that occurred in the streets or guest houses, this time the controversy unfolded inside a courtroom.

The viral footage, which surfaced online on Friday, reportedly shows a transgender individual causing a commotion inside the ADJ court at Wazirganj. In the video, the person is seen clapping angrily, attempting to remove their clothes, and physically confronting police officers. The judge’s seat was empty during the incident, but the courtroom itself was crowded. The situation escalated to the point where the individual sat down on the floor.

Claims on social media suggest that the video is indeed from the Wazirganj court. Police later clarified that the incident actually took place nearly two to two-and-a-half months ago. The transgender person was present for a court hearing related to an ongoing case. Following the disruption, authorities issued a notice to the individual, warning them about their actions. The police officer in charge at the time has since been transferred, and authorities have stated that no further action is currently being taken regarding the video.

The video has drawn strong reactions online. One user commented, “I cannot verify the authenticity of this viral video, but the fast-spreading images have put the entire system in question. If even the transgender community has to protest inside the court for justice, it shows how bad things have gotten.” Another user wrote, “Even the highest officials can do nothing in front of them—they have no choice but to leave their seats.”

While the exact cause of the outburst remains unknown, such behavior inside a prestigious institution like the court not only disrupts decorum but also hinders the justice process.
