The tragedy unfolded late Friday night when a family from Kheri Saad, returning from a pilgrimage to Mehandipur Balaji, met with a fatal accident in Rajasthan’s Dausa district. Their car collided with a stationary canter truck in front of the RTO office on the Jaipur-Agra highway around 12:15 am. The impact was so severe that the car was completely mangled, and all four occupants—mother Pramila Devi, son Deepanshu, daughter Sakshi, and grandmother Rajbala—died on the spot.

As the bodies arrived from Rajasthan, cries of anguish echoed throughout the village. Women and elders broke down in tears upon seeing the four bodies laid out in a row outside their home. The entire family was devastated, with many villagers lamenting, “Oh God, may no one ever suffer such pain.” In just three months, the once-happy household was left in ruins.

Deepanshu, who had taken on the family’s responsibilities after his father Rajendra’s tragic accident a year and a half ago, was among the victims. Rajendra, a truck driver, had suffered a spinal injury, forcing Deepanshu to work while continuing his studies to support the family. His younger sister, Sakshi, was a student in 11th grade. The sight of their bodies together shook everyone to the core.

As the four bodies were placed outside their home, the wails of grief were so loud that they could be heard in neighboring villages. Cousins Suresh, Rahul, and Mukesh performed Deepanshu’s last rites. With no elder brother left in the family, their trembling hands and tearful eyes spoke volumes about the depth of their loss.

A local youth, overcome with emotion, said, “No one will ever see such a family in this village again.” The once-bustling two-story house now stands deserted and locked, its silence a stark reminder of the tragedy. The entire village gathered at the cremation ground late into the night, mourning the loss and reminiscing about the laughter and joy that once filled the household.

This devastating accident serves as a tragic reminder of the fragility of life and has left an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone in Kheri Saad.
