🔥Payal Malik Faces Backlash for Kali Maa Look, Ordered to Wash Pots at Temple as Punishment
Payal Malik, wife of popular YouTuber Armaan Malik, recently found herself in the middle of a social media storm. Known for being part of an unconventional family that always stays in the limelight, Payal’s latest video sparked a wave of controversy that quickly spread across the internet.

It all began when Payal decided to dress up as Goddess Kali. Her reason was simple and heartfelt: her daughter Tooba is a devoted follower of Kali Maa and constantly chants the goddess’s name. Wanting to make her daughter happy, Payal recreated the iconic look of Kali Maa for a video. However, what she intended as a gesture of love turned into a massive backlash.
Many people felt that Payal’s portrayal of the goddess hurt religious sentiments. The criticism grew so intense that Payal was compelled to publicly apologize with folded hands, expressing deep regret for her actions. “I only wanted to do something special for my daughter, who is a true devotee of Kali Maa,” she said. “I realize now that I made a big mistake, and I sincerely apologize to everyone.”
The controversy didn’t end with just an apology. National Secretary Deepanshu Sood condemned Payal’s actions, claiming they had offended religious feelings. As a result, Payal traveled to the Kali Mata Temple in Patiala to seek forgiveness in person. There, she not only apologized to the temple authorities and devotees but was also given a unique punishment: she was asked to perform temple service for an hour.
As part of her penance, Payal washed the used dishes of people who had eaten at the temple’s community kitchen and even served food to the devotees. This act of humility was captured on video and soon went viral on social media, sparking a fresh wave of reactions.
The internet was divided. Some users supported Payal, saying, “This isn’t wrong at all. Don’t worry, Payal, we’re with you.” Others felt the issue was blown out of proportion, commenting, “This is common—there’s nothing wrong in dressing up as Kali Maa, especially for your child.” Many pointed out that every woman carries a motherly form within her, and Payal’s intentions were pure.
Still, there were those who felt bad for her, insisting she wasn’t at fault and shouldn’t have been targeted so harshly. But despite the mixed reactions, Payal’s apology and her willingness to accept the temple’s punishment showcased her respect for people’s sentiments and her humility.
Payal Malik’s story serves as a reminder of how quickly social media can turn a loving gesture into a storm of controversy. Yet, it also highlights the power of apology, humility, and the importance of understanding different perspectives in a diverse society.
