During the sacred month of Sawan, when devotees traditionally fast for Lord Shiva, Tanushree broke her fast by eating mutton. This unexpected move shocked her followers, many of whom questioned her devotion and even her mental health.

When confronted about her choice, Tanushree didn’t back down. Instead, she defended her actions in a social media post, linking her decision to Ayurveda and personal well-being. “I don’t believe religious fasts or festivals should be too strict or rule-based,” she wrote. “Everyone’s body has different needs. For me, this way of fasting works best—I can keep my fast and also stay mentally strong. When I break my fast, I get high protein and nutrition, which keeps my body in top form.”

Her explanation, however, did little to calm the storm. Social media erupted with criticism. One user commented, “I’m unfollowing you. Honestly, your posts are affecting my mental health. You need a doctor.” Another wrote, “No shame at all—karma will come back to you.” Others mocked her for chanting ‘Har Har Mahadev’ while eating meat, and some even compared her to controversial figures from the past.

As the backlash grows, many are now calling her previous emotional videos mere drama. The question on everyone’s mind: Does Tanushree Dutta really need medical help, or is this just another publicity stunt?
