In a recent vlog, Dipika revealed that she contracted the infection from her son, Ruhaan. Despite taking all necessary precautions after her surgery, her condition gradually worsened. Doctors had already warned her to be extra cautious due to her weakened immunity, but even with all the care, her health has deteriorated.

Dipika shared, “Ruhaan passed the infection to me, and in my case, it became much more serious because I’m still undergoing treatment. During this time, your body’s immunity is low.” She added that her doctors had instructed her to contact them immediately if she experienced any viral symptoms or fever. Upon calling them, they started her on heavy doses of antibiotics and anti-allergic medications, which have been tough on her body.

Medical experts note that post-hepatectomy patients, like Dipika who is recovering from stage two hepatocellular carcinoma, are particularly vulnerable. According to her doctor, if the antibiotic dosage is too high, patients risk developing additional symptoms and complications.
