According to official reports, the victim accused Vedan of establishing a physical relationship between August 2021 and March 2023 by promising to marry her, only to betray her trust. The police registered an FIR regarding the matter recently and have launched an investigation.

This case adds to a string of legal troubles for Vedan, who was arrested just two months ago in April 2023 on drug charges. Police found around six grams of marijuana and ₹9 lakh in cash from his flat. Afterward, he was released on bail, only to be arrested again for possession of a leopard tooth, which led to involvement from the forest department. Vedan was again released on bail. In May 2023, a BJP leader filed a complaint against Vedan, accusing him of defaming Prime Minister Narendra Modi and promoting casteism through his music.

Vedan first gained fame in 2019 with his album Voice of the Voiceless, which boldly addressed caste issues and social contradictions prevalent in India. He also lent his voice to various films and had a promising career in music and entertainment.

However, these recent allegations, involving serious criminal charges like rape and drug possession, have put his career and reputation on the line. Police are currently conducting a thorough investigation, while Vedan remains under the scanner.

The case has sparked widespread discussion across social media and the entertainment industry, raising questions about accountability, trust, and the darker side of celebrity culture.
