The actor, most famous for his iconic portrayal of Karna in B.R. Chopra’s Mahabharat, was cremated in Vile Parle, Mumbai, as numerous friends, family, and industry colleagues offered their last respects.

Cause of Death: The actor had been battling cancer for an extended period. Reports confirm that he had previously overcome the illness, but suffered a relapse in recent months, which severely deteriorated his health.

Son Nikitin Dheer Overcome with Grief

 

The funeral was marked by the palpable grief of Dheer’s immediate family. His son, actor Nikitin Dheer, was seen carrying his father’s bier (funeral pyre) and was reportedly “terribly broken” (buri tarah toot gaye) during the ceremony.

Nikitin, himself a well-known actor, was supported by family and friends as he performed the rites for his father, a figure who not only guided his career but also arranged his marriage to actress Kratika Sengar.
